Tonight we had a wonderful dinner with all of our partners from Washington state (OSPI, Bridges to Understanding, and World Affairs Council Global Classroom), plus West Virginia and New Jersey, and our host at Vancouver School District, Howard Yank, and our three new visiting teachers from China.
Washington is hosting teams from the New Jersey and West Virginia State Departments of Education this week as we explore what "Global Competence" means.
The new WordPress version of our website is launched, but we have not yet loaded up new "globally themed" photos. They're coming soon!
When we launched the website http://internationaledwa.org in spring 2003, we gave birth to a public face for an entity that became known as the Washington State Coalition for International Education or the "Coalition" for short. Over the past seven years, a variety of individuals and organizations have paid key roles in advancing the mission of the Coalition -- to prepare all students for today's interconnected world -- while developing themselves into leaders in international education.
