You will walk away from this workshop with free resources, new approaches, and a community of support to begin integrating global issues and sustainable solutions into your classroom. Rick Steves will be the keynote speaker. He will share with us his thoughts on using the classroom as a springboard for building global awareness and global citizens. Steves has authored over 50 European travel guidebooks, hosts a weekly NPR show, writes a weekly column for the Chicago Tribune, and hosts a popular travel series on public television. He will give away free copies of his book, Travel as a Political Act, to workshop attendees.
