On March 6 and 7, 2015, nearly 200 middle and high school students from 20 schools from 4 states participated in the inaugural Washington State Global Issues Network Conference. The aim of the conference was to bring youth together to share ideas for taking action on critical global issues. Looking at all the media coverage of HB 1445 (“Using computer sciences to satisfy world language college admission requirements.” http://apps.leg.wa.gov/billinfo/summary.aspx?year=2015&bill=1445), I am reminded of that old saying, "Any publicity is good publicity" or "There is no such thing as bad publicity."
