2. Grants submitted
The Washington State Team submitted a grant proposal to the Asia Society on February 14, primarily to cover the costs of hosting a P-20 International Education Summit in the fall. We have tentatively reserved space at the UW HUB Ballroom for September 18 (Thursday).
Cynthia also submitted a grant to the Longview Foundation on behalf of WSAME to fund creation of a Directory of International Education Resources in Washington.
We expect to hear about the grants by end of February or early March.
3. Web site for Washington State
Michele presented draft pages for a web site for InternationalEdWA to house information about our Washington State Task Force on International Education. We agreed to request free hosting for it on the Seattle Community Network. The web site is: http://www.scn.org/InternationalEdWA. Michele hopes to launch it in early March.
