If you have not experienced being an advocate for languages (or anything else) before, this is a great time to start. For the first time, Language Advocacy Days (usually held in Washington, DC) will be held virtually February 3-5, 2021. So, travel expenses are not an issue.
SB 5607 - 2019-20 Concerning dual language learning in early learning and K-12 education. This bill represents the most substantial funding that the Washington State Legislature has approved for several years to support languages besides English.
