Summary
- Communications Plan - revised
A number of suggestions were made for further outreach. These have been
incorporated into the Summit
Outreach page.
- Proposed Schedule for the Summit (See updated
Proposed Schedule for Day)
- Dee reminded us that we need to offer more transition time between
sessions since that is when important networking happens.
- Dee offered to check with the Arts Corps about providing some live
music for the opening of the Summit.
- Lili updated us on the list of business people who have agreed to be
on the Business Panel at lunchtime.
- Kristi is working on presentations on technology and arts projects
from iEarn.
- It was recommended we include Multicultural differences in learning.
Geneva Gay was suggested as a presenter.
- Dee recommended having participants complete evaluations BEFORE
leaving the Summit.
- We still need to get breakout session titles for the World Affairs
Council bonus sessions 4:30-5:30 and 5:30-6:30.
- We'd like to invite Supt. Terry Bergeson to address the group.
Kristi volunteered to contact her and possibly arrange for a videotaped
message if she is not able to come in person.
- We'd like to have an MC for the day who is excellent at managing
transitions and keeping the focus. Dee recommended Enrico Cerna from
KCTS and volunteered to contact him.
- We invited Sharon Tomiko Santos to speak, but have not heard back
yet.
- Handouts
We reviewed some possible handouts and everyone agreed they would work
very well. If possible, we'll obtain hard copy originals from the source.
If those are not available, we can print them from the Internet. They
include:
Regarding the draft policy piece, Caleb said he would review the
notes sent out earlier and begin to craft something we could use at the
Summit.
